101 DIY Handmade Gifts For Men

My dad is ridiculously hard to shop for during the holiday season and his birthday. What do you get the man who claims to have everything, and has nothing he needs?  Well, I’ve turned to creating him things for each gift-giving holiday instead. This year, he’s getting a hat with ear flaps that I hand-knit, so he can alternate it with the one he “borrows” from my sister.

Before deciding to knit my dad a hat, I searched the web for handy gift guides to see if there was anything that would resonate. When I found this list of DIY (do-it-yourself) projects geared towards gift-giving for men, I went ahead and checked out a few of the projects. Once I did, I knew I had to share it with you.

Navigation is easy! Scroll down the page and pick a DIY project, picking one that either you’d like to make or someone you know would really like to receive. Then, you’ll be whisked away to the site where that guide is located. I like to right-click the links and open them in a new tab so I don’t accidentally lose the main list in my project perusal. With 101 options available, you are sure to find something for the man in your life that is hard to shop for.

Some of my favorite ideas were the Bay Rum Aftershave, not only because my dad might actually like that, but because it gives you the basic knowledge you need to extract essential oils that you can use for all sorts of projects.  Another project I liked for my dad was the Spice Rub Tins. You buy a tin (you could even use a mason jar, just sayin’) and then create a spice rub to put in it. Make a label, and then give it away! My dad loves to cook and often uses spice rubs, so this would work nicely! Maybe I’ll do it for his birthday in January.

These projects are just a tiny selection of what awaits you. You’ll find geeky options like laptop and kindle covers, outdoor options like grilling tools, camping stools, and so on. Go check it out and see if you can make something for your dad, brother, or husband this holiday season.
