Today I’m bringing you Better Homes and Gardens’ 15 Ways to Prepare Your Home for Winter slideshow. Every year I have a really hard time figuring out what exactly to do to get our house ready for winter. Where do I start? What do we need to buy? What do we still have left over from last year? Where did we put the left over stuff from last year? Those questions run rampant through my mind at this time of year (although the weather is behaving weird this year in Ohio – we still have flowers in bloom!), so it is really nice to find some guidance.
I really liked this slideshow from Better Homes and Gardens, so I thought I would share it with you just in case you find yourself in the same quandary I usually find myself in when it comes to winterizing.
Navigation is easy; just click the arrows on either side of the image to navigate back and forth through the tips.
You’ll find tips on making your windows airtight, insulating your pipes to keep them from freezing, and even how to insulate the plugs in your house! You’ll also find reminders about chores you should do before winter hits in full force like cleaning your gutters, washing your windows and inspecting them for cracks or damaged caulk, and even putting up your storm windows.
This site is a great list of what you need to do to get ready for winter, so check it out today!
