The weekend is coming and I’ve got a great little project you can undertake to clean up your tech life. Let’s get that phone in order!
First, let’s get those photos off your phone and backed up somewhere safe. How many of you are carrying around hundreds and sometimes thousands of irreplaceable photos on that phone that aren’t backed up anywhere?
You copy them onto your computer using a cable or, if your phone has expandable storage, putting your microSD card into a reader. You also have the option to back them up to cloud storage.
No matter which option you choose, you won’t have to worry about losing all your photos if you drop your phone in a puddle or it gets stolen. Plus you can clean out a ton of space for other things.
Clear Out Unused Apps
If you’re like me, from time to time you’ll download an app because it looks like fun, use it once, and never look at it again. These apps take up space on your phone. Take a moment to go through all of your apps and to delete the ones you just don’t use anymore. If it’s something you might use again in the future, you can still remove it from the device. You can always install it again from the app store if you find that you need it. Click here to learn how to remove unwanted Android app.
There are some apps that you can’t remove. But you may be able to disable them and save space from updates.
Clear The Cache
After you’ve removed that unwanted app, try clearing the cache for your phone as well. Sometimes you’ll find that it will free up a GB or more of space.
Simple steps like this can clear up a whole lot of space on your phone.
