3 Tech Products You Need Right Now

Saturday, February 18th, 2017 by | Filed Under: Hardware & Peripherals

When it comes to the tech world, there’s always something new. Whether it is a mobile-controlled home automation system or a voice-operated in-home assistant, today’s tech both surprises and makes our lives easier. While there is no shortage of great tech products on the market, there are a few that leave us scratching our heads, smart vacuums anyone? The market is flooded with all types of tech. That’s why we sifted through it and choose some of the best of 2017 so far. These are three top tech products you should add to your home right now.

Voice-Command Assistants

The Lenovo Smart Assistant made its debut at Las Vegas’ CES 2017. Like Amazon’s Echo, but cheaper and better looking, the Lenovo Smart Assistant is available in two models. One model comes equipped with standard Lenovo sound and the other features audio from Harman Kardon. The Bluetooth-enabled speaker comes equipped with the Amazon Alexa Voice Service, which enables users to interact and control devices around the home simply by speaking.

Over time Alexa will learn your speech patterns and there are eight 360 mics that can pick up your voice commands up to 16 feet away. Whether you want to check your bank account, hear the day’s weather forecast or simply play music, you can do it all with the Lenovo Smart Assistant.

Home Automation Systems

Is your home smart? No, we’re not asking if it has a high IQ or passed a physics test — we’re talking homes equipped with the latest technology, connecting homeowner to house. There’s a big chance that yes, in fact, your home is smart. According to data from August Home and Xfinity Home, the American smart home market is expected to double to an astonishing 30 million homes in 2017. Why? Homeowners cite reasons relating to home security and convenience.

Home automation by ADT offers both. The home control systems allow homeowners to manage the security of the home, whether they are cozying up in the living room or traveling on vacation. Users can easily arm or disarm the security system from the palm of their hand. Home automation users can also control the lighting and temperature with the ADT app, in addition to locking and unlocking doors. Additionally, users can conveniently manage numerous home control custom modes.

TV Transparency

Another product making its debut at CES this year was LG’s transparent TV. Yes, you read that correctly, the television is transparent. For comparison, consider the heads-up technology we’ve seen appear recently in automotive technology. The 55-inch LG Signature OLED TV optimizes 4K resolution and OLED technology for the best picture possible. LG OLED uses self-lighting pixels to offer an expanded color palette and infinite color contrast, offering over a billion rich colors, ultimately providing cinematic-quality color.

While LG has yet to release the product for purchase, it is surely one tech product to keep your eye on this year. And, LG televisions with the OLED and 4K technology, including both curved and flat models, are on the market right now. Sure some may say that television is on its way out, but this techy TV makes the tube cool again.

Keeping up with tech is a fast moving feat. Check out these three products now.
