You had a tip about adding US holidays to your iPhone Calendar. Can you tell me how to do it with an Android Phone?
Adding holidays is simple. You’ll need to get Google Calendar from the app store if you don’t already have it installed.
- Sign in to Google Calendar.
- On the left pane, under “Other calendars” area, click on “Add” link given at the bottom. Now select “Browse Interesting Calendars from the menu”. In the screenshot below you can see a list of other countries that this simple calendar has subscribed to.
The list of interesting calendars will appear on the right. You can preview any calendar or subscribe to it by clicking on the “Preview” and “Subscribe” links given on the same page. You could subscribe to more than one calendar at a time, just as what you can see above.
After subscribing, you’ll find the specific calendars you have chosen awhile back, listed under the “Other calendars” box. Notice that each country is represented by a unique color and US is blue. Once there, you can easily check out American Holidays or US Holiday Calendar . These applications can automatically add American holidays to your built-in Android calendar. Or you can do so manually be pressing each days with a given holiday so you can easily track it as it happens.
If you want to remove any calendar you have chosen by mistake, just visit the interesting calendar page again and click the “unsubscribe” button.
