I love this page, because it reminds me of the air shows my parents took me to see while I was growing up, so it’s very nostalgic for me. The site itself is very straightforward.
You’ll find the show index across the top of the page on the brown bar. That’s the easiest way to see all the shows that are in the journal.
Your other options are to either scroll down the page to see certain shows that are highlighted on the page, choose to view the shows by year (select a year), choose the Aircraft Index or the Graphical Index.
What will you see? Awesome images of aircrafts, for one thing. But, you’ll also get to see pictures from the shows where the aircrafts are in the air doing their various tricks. Or maybe you’ll see Robosaurus? (You can see Robosaurus here, just scroll down the page). Most of the photographs have a bit of descriptive text underneath them, but I really think most of the photographs speak for themselves.
You can see some photographs of people parachuting out of planes at the air shows as well. Some of those pictures are absolutely amazing. I have no desire to jump out of a perfectly good plane, but I do admire those with the gumption to do it.
Are you ready for the adventure of visiting the air show from the comfort of your own home? I know I am!
