An Office Assistant That Delivers

No not pizza delivery – sorry – but something you can really use.

How about a tip delivered to your desktop at program startup everyday?

If you like reading Office tips in little doses then you’ll love this. The only question is how do you arrange for this little delivery?

Well, the first thing you need to do is to get the Office Assistant running.

There are many ways to do this, but one of the fastest ways is to hit the F1 key.

When the Assistant opens he should give you a dialog box for you to enter your question. Look at the bottom of this box.

See the Options button?

That’s what you’re looking for. Click it.

In the Office Assistant window go to the Options tab.

You’re looking for the option called Show the Tip of the Day at Startup. Make sure this box is checked. (Its exact location will vary with program version but it should be somewhere toward the bottom.)

Click OK.

There you go. Now you’ll have a tip delivered right to your desktop every time you start an Office Suite program. (Of course each tip will pertain to the program you’ve launched.)
