It seems that with each new iteration of Android OS, we’re given more options on top of options we already had. Take for example the number of screens we’re now able to swipe to and put icons on. Where before it was four or five, the new Samsung Galaxy S III tops out around seven. That’s seven screens to pile apps and widgets onto! Sheesh!
So what do you do if you want to suddenly change one of those screens to your home screen? Do you take the time to manually move all of those icons?
First, pinch your screen with two fingers to zoom out. This “zoomed-out” view will show you all of the screens you’re able to work with.
You’ll also notice a little, tiny house icon in the upper right corner of each zoomed out screen.
If you very carefully (because the icon is so small) tap that little house, it will set the specified screen as your new home screen. No fuss, no muss.
Of course, you can always go back to your original home screen by following this same procedure and re-tapping the little house icon on whatever screen you used before.
