Android – Show your Touches

Posted By Andrew On February 24, 2013 @ 9:00 AM In Android | 2 Comments

I just love my Samsung Galaxy S III, but like most touch-enabled devices there’s no confirmation of where you’ve been touching. I can live without such a luxury, but why bother when Android OS (at least everything after v4.0) has a built-in option that does just that?

Check it out:

First, click Settings, then scroll down to Developer options. You’re looking for Show touches, which is located underĀ Input.

Put a check in the box, back out to your home screen and give it a whirl. You’ll notice a little semi-transparent dot that appears and follows wherever you touch.

I turned this on a couple of months back and haven’t turned it off since. It’s a fantastic way to see what/where you’re clicking, which makes it useful for app developers, too!
