AOL Action Cancelled
Posted By On March 29, 2005 @ 3:19 PM In Using The Internet | No Comments
I went to click a link in an AOL email and it came up “Action Cancelled”. Then I tried to get anywhere on the internet outside of AOL and the same thing happened. What’s going on?
When this happens it is probably due to net congestion. This is especially true of dial up, but I hear it even happens with AOL for Broadband. With millions of people trying to get on at the same time, connection problems are bound to occur.
Connecting to AOL is no problem—you can check email and go to AOL pages, but good luck leaving the island. You’ll also notice that when this happens you don’t get any pictures in emails (like this newsletter)—just a red X. That’s because our pictures are located on a web server.
Try logging off then logging back in a little later and you might get connected right.
