Trying to lose weight? The number one new year's resolution seems to be "I want to lose weight". We've been getting a lot of requests for "cooking light" type cookbook software, so I thought I'd mention a couple of excellent titles. Oh, and if you purchase either cookbook title, we'll throw in a FREE Myst game too ($49.95 value!). # 1 - Weight Watchers Light & Tasty Deluxe We have sold hundreds of this one! This cookbook features over 2,200 recipes, a nutritional / calorie calculator, a shopping list creator, cooking tips, even video help. As if that wasn't enough, you can add your own recipes, scale recipes for 1 to 99 people, and much more - oh and yes, it can even give you a calorie count on your personal recipes! We don't have a ton of these, so if you're interested, act now. They are only $12.97 and the shipping is free if you live in the US. Here's the link for more info: http://www.worldstart.com/store/lightandtastydeluxe.htm # 2 - MasterCook Cooking Light Here's another one that's been extremely popular. It features over 1,250 low fat (yet great tasting) recipes. It can analyze recipes for over 25 important nutritional elements, including calories, fat content, vitamins, fiber, sodium, and more. In addition it has a "meal planner" that helps you plan healthy meals - days, weeks or months in advance. Of course, you can add your own recipes, share recipes (even e-mail them to friends), print recipes, and create shopping lists. It has a powerful search engine to help you find what you're looking for - everything from appetizers to desserts! This one comes in a box and includes a hefty instruction manual. It's only $16.97 with FREE shipping if you live in the US. http://www.worldstart.com/store/mastercook.htm
Q: A: If you can't remove the ink jet nozzle / head, you'll need to try to wipe them off using a lint free cloth. Getting to them can be difficult, so if they are unreachable or you're not comfortable messing around with your printer you may want to take to a repair shop for cleaning. Finally, check with
your printer manufacturer and see if they offer some kind of a cleaning
kit. HP had one that came free with an ink cartridge, so I know they're
out there. In addition, your printer help file may give some advice for
recommended cleaning procedures.
Column
Sorting Fun Web Link - http://www.worldstart.com/tips/columnsort.htm Yesterday, we looked at the fascinating world of quickly resizing columns. Today, even more cool column tricks! I know, it's hard to handle all the excitement :-) Have you ever needed to find something in a folder that had hundreds of files in it? Well, you usually know something about the file. If it's the name, then you're all set. But maybe you're not sure of the name, although you do know it was created in the last day or so. Or maybe you know what type of file it is, just not the name or the last time it was modified. What about trying to select all the same types of files in a folder? You know, maybe you want to take all the JPEGs out and stick them in another location. Well, it would take awhile if they weren't all together. So, what can you do? Well, sort your columns, of course! If you click the top of any column in Windows Explorer, it will list the contents of that folder in order based on that column.
For example, if you click the Modified column, you'll find that it lists the files in the folder based on the last date they were modified. It will sort A-Z the first time you click, then Z-A on the next click. The example above shows the columns sorted by size. This trick also works with other programs. For example, if you click the column headings in Outlook Express, you can sort your e-mail by the column heading (i.e. subject, date received, etc). I use this little trick all the time to help me locate e-mail.
A very well documented site on the existence (or lack there of ?) of Loch Ness monster. Have you ever wondered if Nessie really exists? I was intrigued by this site and wandered around it for the better part of an hour. The site includes a list of sightings by date, pictures, and links to other Loch Ness Monster sites. Some of the photographs are really unbelievable: one looks like a rock, another the part of a ship or a smiling serpent-creature- not my idea of the Loch Ness monster at all. The site does have a lot of interesting facts, so decide for yourself - Is the Loch Ness monster fact or fiction?
Do you have a cool site that you want to share? Send it to Amanda! Here's her address: Oh, and we're looking
for non-commercial sites. We generally don't run sites that are strictly
for shopping.
