Norton Anti-virus rebate update Just a quick update on the rebate form issue with Norton Anti-virus 2002 (boxed version). If you purchased this product from us and didn't receive a rebate form, please e-mail cindy@worldstart.com and include your mailing address. She'll send you one right away. We've had some requests for rebate forms from people who did not purchase the product through us. Unfortunately, we can't help you, we can only send out rebate forms to the folks who purchased through our web site. Oh, and thanks to everyone who did (and does) buy through us. Your purchases keep this, and all of our newsletters, free. Without your support, there wouldn't be any computer tips newsletter. Thanks :-) That's it for me today, enjoy the newsletter :-)
Q: A: To move your taskbar, grab a blank area with your mouse (left click & hold) and drag it to whatever location (top, bottom, or sides) you want. Note that you need to grab the taskbar in the area where your open program buttons sit or right under your Start button (if there's room to grab). If you have IE 4.0 or better installed, you probably have an area (quick launch toolbar) where icons sit. That's NOT the area you grab.
If you are using XP
and can't get the taskbar to move, you may need to "unlock"
it. Just right-click a blank area on the taskbar and click the "Lock
the taskbar" menu item to toggle it on and off. To resize your taskbar, hover your mouse pointer over its edge. Your mouse pointer should turn onto a double arrow. Now, click and hold your left mouse button while dragging the taskbar to the size you want. As you drag it down, you'll get another "level" you can work with. You can drag excess toolbars to this new level using their little "handles" (short vertical lines on the toolbar's left-hand side). Who knew it could be so easy?

Fonts Web Link - http://www.worldstart.com/tips/simfont.htm Have you ever had a font that was *almost* what you were looking for? Well, here's how to look at fonts that are similar to the one that's almost right. 1. Click the Start button, Settings, Control Panel (XP users, click the Start button, Control Panel) . Open the Fonts folder. Some users may need to click the "View all control panel options" or "Switch to classic view" link that's on the left side of the control panel. 2. From the View menu, select "List fonts by similarity"
That's it. Now, just use the "list fonts by similarity to" drop down box to select the font that almost made the cut. You'll get a list in descending order of similarity. Double-click a font to see a sample.
