Mess Ups Due to one of those "human error" type mistakes, some of you received our Software Deals newsletter on Friday. Sorry about that. I thought it was going to the right list and in my hurry to get things done, I sent it to a large chunk of this list. On the other hand, we had a lot of folks thank us for sending and asked if we were going to continue with it. So, if you want to sign up for our Software Deals newsletter, head to: http://www.worldstart.com/softwaredeals.htm It's sent out once a week - usually on Friday. Picture This! We have Microsoft PictureIt Gold back in stock (again). We ran out of our second batch early Wednesday evening last week. They do sell fast! If you want to join the hundreds who have already ordered, head to the link below ASAP: http://www.worldstart.com/store/pictureitpublishing.htm These are still $24.97, and I'm really not sure how long this batch is going to last. Each time we mention them, they sell like crazy until we run through our stock (and that usually happens in less than a day). So, all I can say is if you're interested, stop reading and get to the site ASAP!! New Site It looks like we're going to launch the new version of WorldStart next Monday. Lots of new stuff, updates, archives, listings of cool sites, and hey, it even looks better. We'll be testing it this week, hopefully everything will go as planned and we'll be up and running with it next Monday! Oh, we're even planning a couple new features to this newsletter! So, stay tuned :-)
Q: IDE, or Integrated Drive Electronics, describes a drive that has its controller components built in (in the real old days, these components were on a card or similar device) . It's probably safe to assume that's the type of hard drive you have built into your computer. Most newer computers can have up to 4 IDE devices attached. These normally come in the form of hard drives, CD ROMS, or internal Zip drives.
CTRL Your Folders (and more) Web link - http://www.worldstart.com/tips/folderctrl.htm Do you ever find yourself scrolling through a huge folder? If you need to get to the beginning or the end quickly, just press CTRL - HOME. If you want to get to the end, click CTRL - END.
Hey, that's not all! This little trick works on more than just folders. If you use the HOME key in a word processor, it probably goes to the beginning of the line you're currently working on. If you hit the END key, it should head to the end of the current line. Use HOME & END with the CTRL key in a word processor to go to the beginning or end of a document. Again, this should work, but it depends on your word processor. Oh, try hitting the HOME or END key with your web browser too :-)
Bonehead Awards are handed out to a group or individual for a boneheaded action. The awards are give out daily, and are based on current mainstream news. These are great for a laugh, and a good way to brighten up your Monday morning. They also have previous boneheads archived for you. So you dont have to stop after just one story. Check it out. http://www.bonehead.oddballs.com/ Do you have a cool site that you want to share? Send it to Amanda! Here's her address: Oh, and we're looking
for non-commercial sites. We generally don't run sites that are strictly
for shopping.
