As you may have noticed, we've updated the look of the WorldStart site a little. The links at the top are really cool now. You hover your mouse over them and you see a description of what they are in our little "Information" window. So, give it a shot and let us know if you have any problems with it: WorldStart ISP? Also, we had a couple people ask about one of the new links they saw on the site. It's the one labeled "Internet Service". Yup, you guessed it. We're going to be offering internet service soon. More details to come, but for now I can tell you this. Our ISP service is going to be offered nation wide for only $14.95 / mo. It's very quick and offers an 8 to 1 modem ratio. Most ISPs are 20 to 1 (or even worse). What does that modem ratio stuff mean? Simply put, ours is one of the best in the industry and virtually guarantees you're not going to get busy signals. So, if you're thinking about changing ISPs - wait a couple weeks. We're going to have an introductory offer of only $3.95 for your first month so it costs very little to give it a try. Anyhow, more to come as we get closer. More New Stuff Finally, Rose wanted me to mention that she's been busy adding lots of new stuff to our online store. Lots of new software - really cheap! Some of the stuff she's found is absolutely awesome. So, take a look at the link below to see all the new titles: http://www.worldstart.com/store/newtitles.htm
Q: A: Press Ctrl,
Alt, Delete all at the same time. Wait for a window to pop up
saying "Close Program" with a list of all programs that are
presently running. Look for one or more that say "Not Responding".
Click on (select)
that program then click the "End Task" button
at the bottom of the window. Be careful not to click "Shut Down"
- that turns your computer off. This is by no means a "sure fire" cure for all computer hang ups, but it is well worth a try, especially if you have some unsaved data in an application that is not the one guilty of the hang up. ~ Dale Gunnels Want to write for

Viewing File Extensions Are your file extensions hiding from you? Do you see file names but secretly wish you could see the extension too? Maybe you have no clue what file extensions are or why in the world you would want to look at them. Well, take a gander at the link below for help: http://www.worldstart.com/tips/computer-terms/termfileextensions.htm OK, now how to set
your computer so you can see your extensions (and join the rest of us
geeks). 2. Click the Tools menu, Folder Options.
3. From the resulting screen, click the View tab. Now, look for the option to "Hide extensions for known file types". You need to uncheck it in order to see the extensions (it's checked by default).
That's it, nothin' to it. Enjoy those extensions :-) Have

Better Homes and Garden brings you arrange a room. You’ll need the shockwave plug in to play with this one. You click on the start button and get ready to arrange. Follow the easy steps and you shouldn’t have a problem. After the plug-in loads you should come up with a grid on and a list of objects. Drag the objects onto the grid, place them where you want them, and click info to change size specifications or rotate the objects. Now you just play with Arrange-A-Room, till you find the configuration you want and you can see how your plan will look. Tada! http://www.bhg.com/bhg/category.jhtml?catref=cat20006 Do you have a cool site that you want to share? Send it to Amanda!! Here's the address: Oh, and we're looking
for non-commercial sites. We generally don't run sites that are strictly
for shopping. |
