We Have Mice!

They’re back!

We've been featuring an optical mouse lately for only $12.97. The first time, we sold 300 of these by 2:30 PM EST. So, we ordered 400 and ran this again. That time, we sold out by 11:30AM EST! Well, we've purchased the last of these, and they're up for grabs. Note that this time we only have around 140, so if you're interested you'd better jump on this last chance ASAP!

Isn't that cool? Want one too? Well, we made a special purchase and have 'em in stock!

How much? Well, as you know, a good optical mouse will normally cost you anywhere from $25.00- $50.00. Well, how about an optical mouse for only $12.97?! And yes, US shipping is still FREE!

Now, don't go thinking this is some junky little rodent. This is just as good as any Logitech or MS mouse I've played with. In fact, I was using a Logitech mouse, but found that I liked the feel of this one better.

Oh, and yes, in addition to being an optical mouse, it's also a wheel mouse. If you're still using a wheel-less mouse, now's your chance to upgrade. Trust me, once you have one of those wheels, you'll never (ever) want to go back.

Since it's optical, it tracks along your screen very smoothly - no more bouncing around or getting stuck. Oh, and since it doesn't have a ball, you don't have to worry about cleaning out dirt and grim from its nasty little innards!

So, if you're still using an outdated non-optical mouse - or worse, one without a (gasp) scroll wheel - this is an offer you should jump on. Trust me - you'll enjoy your computing experience a whole lot more with a quality mouse :-) Here's the link:

And don't worry - this still has our 30 day satisfaction guarantee - if you're not happy with it, send it back for a fast, courteous refund! Nothing to lose, but for $12.97 these are not going to last!

Computers 101

Q:
The "Quick Way to the C:" from Friday's tip doesn't work for Windows XP. Any ideas?

A:
Yup, turns out XP is proving to be a bit less quick here, but it's still as easy as 1, 2, 3...

1. Hit the Windows key and the letter R.

2. Type "C:" (without the quotation marks) instead of the backslash as stated in Friday's Tips.

3. Hit Enter and voila! You should see the contents of your C: drive.

Tip of the Day

Aah, It's a Big Mouse!

Do you find the standard Windows mouse cursor is a bit too small? If so, you may want to select a larger cursor scheme from your Mouse Properties. Here's how:

1. Hit the Start button, Settings, Control Panel.

2. Open your Mouse icon, then go to the Pointers tab.

3. From here, you should see a drop box labeled "Scheme." You're looking for an item labeled either:

Windows Standard (extra large) (system scheme)

OR

Windows Standard (large) (system scheme)

Either one of those will give you a larger than standard mouse cursor.

Depending on the computer and version of Windows, you may find you have a lot of other options, too. Check 'em out, you may find you like certain cursor schemes better than others.

Have fun!

Amanda's Cool Site of the Day

Spore Cubes

Bored? Waiting for an important e-mail? Waiting for an instant messenger buddy to return to their keyboard? If so, here is a neat little game for you to play while you wait, or just to fill time. Hey, you can even play it just for fun. It’s called Spore Cubes.

The object of the game is not to have any blocks left. You click on matching blocks and they disappear. Then the stack changes and you’re on to find your next set.

It has two levels of difficulty- Easy and Hard. The difference between the levels is the number of colors you have to match; the hard level has more colors.

Now I have to go play some more Spore Cubes, I’m already addicted to it. Enjoy!
