Q: I was at a really cool site and wanted to send it to my friend. Is there a way to email the entire web page?

A: If you're using Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator you can. Here's how to send a favorite page to a buddy:

Internet Explorer:

1. Head to your homepage.

2. Click the File menu, Send, Page by e-mail.

3. Outlook Express (or Outlook) will now open and the page you were just looking at will be made into an e-mail message. All you need to do is fill in the recipient's address and send it off. To test this, use your own address and send it to yourself.

Netscape 6:

1. Head to your homepage.

2. Click the File menu, Send Page.

3. Netscape Mail will now open and the page you were just looking at will be made into an e-mail message. All you need to do is fill in the recipient's address and send it off. To test this, use your own address and send it to yourself.

Final Notes:

Your friend will need an HTML compatible e-mail client to actually be able to view the page. Don't worry. Most e-mail programs are HTML capable.

Tip of the Day

EZ CD Autorun

Isn't it a pain when you have to open and close your CD drive when you already have a CD in it you want to use? There is a better way. All you do is create shortcuts to your drives in the quick launch toolbar.

First, double click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop to open it. Then click and drag each CD drive to the quick launch area on the taskbar. (If the quick launch is not displayed, right click the taskbar. In the menu that is displayed open the "Toolbars" pop-out and make sure "Quick Launch" is checked.)

After you have the shortcuts in the quick Launch area, right click them and select "Rename." Give each shortcut an appropriate name, for example, DVD, CD-ROM, CD-RW, etc.

Now if you have any CD in the drive its icon will be displayed for the shortcut and you can click the icon to either autorun, or listen to the music. Much easier than waiting for the drive to open and close again.
