Don't Just Read The Bible - Experience It!

We had an absolutely tremendous response to our Compton's Interactive Bible offer yesterday (thanks everyone :-)!

We sold out of our initial stock by 1:30 PM and had to place a rush order for more! If you tried to order yesterday and received an "out of stock" notice, you'll be glad to know they're available again - but I can't guarantee for how long. (hint - get to the site right now).

Again, these are awesome. I feel this really is the best way to read the bible. It's easy to find what you're looking for, you can double-click any word in any passage for a definition (I love that), read expert commentary, listen while selected passages are read to you, follow an interactive timeline, browse a historical atlas, and so much more.

It's a fantastic - and fun - way to read and experience the Bible. Give it a shot, you'll be glad you did.

Your price is only $12.97 with FREE US Shipping! You don't want to miss this one - I don't know how many more I can get! Check it out at:

PS - Please don't miss out! This is a fantastic way to experience the Bible and I highly recommend it. I know you'll love it :-)

Q:
I've seen people with their taskbar on the side or at the top. How did they do that?

A:
To move your taskbar:
Grab a blank area with your mouse (left click & hold) and drag it to whatever location (top, bottom, or sides) you want. Note that you need to grab the taskbar in the area where your open program buttons sit or right under your Start button (if there's room to grab). If you have IE 4.0 or better installed, you probably have an area (quick launch toolbar) where icons sit. That's NOT the area you grab.

If you are using XP and can't get the taskbar to move, you may need to "unlock" it. Just right-click a blank area on the taskbar and click the Lock the taskbar menu item to toggle it on and off.

OK, now for resizing:
To resize your taskbar, hover your mouse pointer over its edge. Your mouse pointer should turn onto a double arrow. Now, click and hold your left mouse button while dragging the taskbar to the size you want.

As you drag it down, you'll get another "level" you can work with. You can drag excess toolbars to this new level using their little "handles" (short vertical lines on the toolbar's left-hand side).

Tip of the Day

Big Buttons

Do you ever accidentally click the Maximize button on a program window when you meant to hit Close? Or Close when you wanted to Maximize? Or Maximize when you wanted to Minimize? Or... OK, I guess you get the idea.

If the buttons are bigger, it helps to eliminate this problem. Trust me, ever since I made my buttons bigger, I have lots less digital "accidents." When people ask me how I got such big icons on my taskbar, I tell them I wipe Miracle Grow on my screen, we laugh, and they generally leave. Well, stick around, here's how you too, can have big taskbar icons without the use of any fertilizer:

1. Right-click the desktop and select Properties.

2. Select the Appearance tab. (If you're using XP, hit the Advanced button.)

3. On the "Item" drop down box, select Active Title Bar.

4. Next to that drop down box you'll see a setting for size. Click the little up arrow to make the buttons bigger. Don't get carried away though. The bigger the buttons, the bigger the title bar.

Oh, one more thing. Before you ask, to get icons to the quick launch toolbar, just drag & drop.

Amanda's Cool Site of the Day

Playing with Time

This site boasts, “Unseen worlds of change will be revealed. You will see time sped up and slowed down, and behold the beauty of change. Time will be in your hands to witness, replay, and even create. You never know... you might not look at things quite the same way again.”

Having spent a couple of hours at the site, I will say that they have their bragging rights on this one. It’s fabulous. Choose the To See and Do section and start your journey through time command.

You can visit the Gallery and flit through their time experiments. Or you can choose Activities and get creative. In the Activities section there are three challenges that let you get your hands on time. Give them a try, and become masters of time. I particularly enjoyed the Fractal Tree challenge in the Activity section. I’m sure you will too.
