National Geographic - One Last Chance! Then It's Gone Forever... Last month or so we ran a special on The Complete National Geographic (a 32 CD ROM set that includes every page from every National Geographic magazine from the original in 1888 thru 2000). As we told you then, they are no longer publishing these due to a law suite filed by the photographers (they were not getting royalties on the images). Since that special, we've been inundated with phone calls and e-mails asking if we found more or had any leftovers. Well, we put the word out to all our suppliers, requesting (OK, begging) that if they came across a surplus of this title to please contact us. Yesterday, we were fortunate to be able to get a handful of these. So, if you missed out the first time, here's an unexpected second chance! As we said before, the publisher isn't optimistic about these ever getting published again. If they do, it could be years before it happens and who knows what photos may be missing? This just became an instant collectors item and just about everyone here has grabbed one. If you want in on this, get to the site now! Here's a description: The Complete National Geographic features over 1,200 issues and let me tell ya - I had a terrific time going through all the old articles, pictures, and ads. Each issue is presented exactly as it was when it was originally published - every page, every picture. I spent over an hour just browsing through dozens of old issues. I especially like to look at old advertisements, you know, checking out what the "cutting edge" stuff was way back when. With all the changes taking place in the world today, it's a lot of fun to how things were in the past. It's amazing to look back and see how some of the "revolutionary" stuff got started - and how some of it never did. This collection is like having a personal time machine that can show you the world the way it once was. Here's some more info on the program: - 185,000 Spectacular photographs and illustrations. Our cost on this new batch is higher than what we paid before. However, we're going to keep your price at the same $64.97 with FREE US SHIPPING (list $149.95)! Everyone else is starting to raise prices on these, but we're going to stay the same - for now. Here's the info and order link: http://www.worldstart.com/store/national-112.htm Needless to say, there is a very limited quantity of these available, so head to the site ASAP if you want yours! Remember, they aren't making these anymore, so once the existing stock is depleted, that's it - they're gone. Don't miss out!

Click that puppy and you should get all kinds of information about the program - including the version number. As an added bonus, some About boxes have a little button that says "System" or "System info." Click that to get all sorts of information about your computer. And you thought that About box was worthless! ~ Steve Have

Caps Lock Alarm Don't you hate it when you accidentally hit the Caps Lock key? Sometimes I have a whole sentence typed in before I realize my mistake! (I know, GASP!) What if you could set your computer up so it alerts you when your pinky finger wanders off and taps the Caps Lock key? With this tip, I'll show you how to make your computer beep & flash the next time it happens. The first thing you'll need to do is get the computer to beep when you hit the Caps Lock key. Here's how: 1. Click the Start button, Settings, Control Panel (XP Users, hit the Start button, Control Panel). Open the Accessibility Options Icon.
2. On the Keyboard tab, click the "Use Toggle Keys" checkbox.
That's it for the beeping part. Next, we need to get your screen to flash you, err, flash at you. Here's how: 1. From the Accessibility Options screen, click the Sound tab and check the "Use SoundSentry" checkbox.
2. Next click the Settings button and select "Flash active window" from the "Warning for windowed programs" drop down box.
That's it. Hit OK until you're clear of property and settings screens. Open your favorite word processor and hit your Caps Lock key. Cool huh? P.S. If you don't have an Accessibility Options icon in your Control Panel, you may not have it installed. To install, hit your Start button, Settings, Control Panel. Open the Add / Remove programs icon and click the Windows Setup tab. You'll be able to add components from there. Keep in mind you'll need your Windows CD! ~ Steve Have

Curious about the Jewsish festival of Passover that begins at sundown tomorrow night and runs through next week? Then this is THE site to visit. I recommend viewing the flash version which you can do by clicking on "Mr. Matzah". Choose between MY Kitchen, The Journey, and Matzah Media. Wander through these sections with Mr. Matzah and you will learn a lot, there are even some recipes for traditional favorites. That’s all I’m going to say about the spiffy flash section, I think you just should surf it to discover its mysterious cuteness. The HTML version of this site is very straightforward, and easy to navigate. You can learn about Passover, get recipes, visit the kids section, and so much more. You can even read a straight translation of the Passover Haggadah, the Passover Companion, or the Understanding Passover section. All of which I found highly educational information that was presented in a format that was authentic and clearly explained. Definitely worth your time and a look. Enjoy! Do
