Ready For A Vacation? Well, I know that the hundreds who took advantage of yesterday's special are! Wow, a big "thank you" to all who ordered. Your software is on the way! If you missed out, we're featuring Rand McNally's Route Planner 2003 - and you'll be glad to know you can still get in on this incredible deal. Again, your price is just $9.97 and US shipping is FREE! Rand McNally for less than ten bucks - can't go wrong there! Again, this software will make planning your next trip incredibly easy (and a lot of fun). Just type in your starting point and destination and POOF! In a matter of seconds you have a detailed set of directions, complete with driving times and estimated costs! (Psst - the drive time estimates are so accurate it's scary.) Look at what else this can do:
I was playing with the Regional Attractions feature and in a matter of minutes had discovered two great locations for day trips. Thanks to the estimated costs calculator, figuring out how much each trip was going to cost was a breeze. As I mentioned yesterday, I've discovered all sorts of cool places to go this summer thanks to this little program (amazing what's within a couple hours drive). For less than $10, this software has effectively saved me from another boring summer with nothing to do. I love it! Check it out: http://www.worldstart.com/store/route-planner-03.htm
Q: A: The Desktop, basically, is where all your icons live (stuff like the Recycle Bin sit on the Desktop). It's the "background" area you see when your computer first boots up before you run any programs. While we're talking about the desktop... do you have icons scattered all over and would like to organize them? Yes? Then just Right-click the Desktop and select "Arrange Icons". You'll be presented with a sub-menu that's chock full of icon arrangement options. I personally use the "By Type" option, since I have all sorts of different icon species residing on my desktop.

A Quick Way to the C: OK, I know there are several ways to view the contents of your hard drive (normally drive "C" ), but here's one I stumbled upon the other day that I thought was kinda cool. If you have Windows 95/98/ME... 1. First hit your Windows Key and the letter "R." (The windows key is located between the ALT & CTRL keys - if you don't have a "windows" keyboard, you won't have this key and you'll need to click the Start button, Run to try this.) 2. You should now have the "Run" dialog box sitting in front of you. Now, type in a back slash (/):
3. Hit Enter and you should get a window with a list of all the stuff on your C: drive.
Again, there are other ways of getting to your C: drive quickly (like sticking a shortcut on your desktop by dragging the C: drive to it), but this was kinda neat so I thought I would pass it along. For Windows XP... 1. Hit the Windows key and the letter R. 2. Type "C:" (without the quotation marks) instead of the backslash as stated above.
3. Hit Enter and voila! You should see the contents of your C: drive. Sure, there are lots of other ways to see what's on your C: drive, but can you think of one that makes you look as cool? That what I thought :-) ~Steve Have

Do you need an expert opinion? You can definitely find one at All Experts. Choose the category you have a question about and choose the area of the topic your question is in. Then choose someone in the forum to answer your question. Put in the question and e-mail address, and they will get back to you. I've quoted below their info on response time. I asked a question and had it answered within the hour. Be patient and polite, and the best part is, the advice is free. Enjoy this one. "Our studies have shown that nearly 50% of responses arrive the same day or within 24 hours. Another 30% arrive by next day and about 20% arrive the day after that. Sometimes you can get a response in minutes! If, however, you find, for whatever reason, that you don't get a response after 3 days, write us and we'll investigate. We'll always get back to you!" Do
