Still Smackin'!

The Hacker Smacker firewall continues to sell like crazy. Normally we don't mention the same title 3 days in a row, but normally they don't sell like this! If you don't have a firewall, it's time you join the hundreds who have taken advantage of this deal!

This firewall prevents hackers from stealing personal info, credit card numbers, bank account info, infecting your computer with viruses, planting keystroke loggers, destroying your data and lots more.

This firewall is really easy to setup and use. Oh, and if you don't have a clue about using a firewall, don't worry - we're even including a "getting started" guide that I wrote to help you with the basics.

In addition to keeping hackers out and being easy to use, this software can:

Let you know when a program is trying to access the internet - great for catching spyware in the act!
"Pass Lock" allows you to shut off all access to the net if you think something is wrong.
Log attacks - including the attacker's IP address
Protect your privacy by insuring that your personal info isn't accidentally sent over the internet.
Clear internet history, cookies, web links, auto-match, windows temp folder, password history, start menu run items, and tons more
Display what programs are currently connected to the internet

And MORE!

Your price? Just $12.97 and US shipping is FREE! Why pay $50 or more for a firewall that just isn't as good? This is the best I've used and I can't recommend it highly enough. Give it a try - you'll love it too :-)

PS - OK, we've had some customers if this is better than Win XP's built in firewall. To answer your question - YES! The level of protection this provides is way beyond the simple firewall XP has. Don't mess with your computer's security - get a good firewall.

Q:
How do I rename a file?

A:
There are at least three ways to rename a file...

1. You could click the file name once to highlight, click a second time to make it available to change, then type in the new file name.

2. Right click the file and choose "Rename". This will highlight the file name allowing you to type in a new one.

3. Hold down the Alt key and double click the file to open the Properties box. Type the new name in the name box.

Tip of the Day

Rename Several Files at Once

Have you ever been working on a project with information on several files? Maybe it was an annual report with files from different departments. Or perhaps you unloaded the pictures from your camera and would like to find the ones of your grandchildren easier. This tip works with every type of file and will help you give them all the same name. I'm sure you will find other uses for this once you see how to do it.

Find the files you want to rename. If you don’t know exactly where they are, right-click on Start and left-click on Explore. Have a look around until you find them.

When you’ve found your files, select them. You can do this by drawing a box around them with your mouse or holding down Ctrl and clicking the files you want to rename. (To select all the files in a folder, hold Ctrl and press A).

Right-click on the first of the files you’ve selected and left click on Rename.

Then type in a name for your files and press Enter. And—HEY PRESTO!—they've all been renamed, freeing up plenty of time for a nice nap.

Alright—so you've probably noticed that all the files don't have exactly the same name. Windows just doesn't like you doing that. But it’s good enough for me. Oh, and don't go renaming a whole load of files just for fun—I don’t know any quick way to change them back!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off for a lie down...

Amanda's Cool Site of the Day

Alcatraz History

Who hasn't heard of the famous prison Alcatraz? Do you want to know more about its rich and diverse history?

This site expertly sums up by saying, "From the mid 1930's until the mid 1960's, Alcatraz was America's premier maximum-security prison, the final stop for the nation's most incorrigible inmates. Today, Alcatraz is a place of contradictions, with a grim past and an enduring future as one of San Francisco's most prominent landmarks and tourist attractions."

Let me tell you, this site is chocked full of information. So it may take you a while to explore. You can check out the diagrams of the island and the cell house. Read about the famous inmates of this prison and various escape attempts.

Definitely worth browsing at your leisure, as it is highly informative and well thought out. The combination of pictures and text keeps you reading. Check it out!
