Spore Cubes

Bored? Waiting for an important e-mail? Waiting for an instant messenger buddy to return to their keyboard? If so, here is a neat little game for you to play while you wait, or just to fill time, hey you can even play it just for fun. It’s called Spore Cubes.

The object of the game is not to have any blocks left. You click on matching blocks and they disappear, the stack changes and you’re on to find your next set.

It has two levels of difficulty- Easy and Hard. The difference between the levels is the number of colors you have to match; the hard level has more colors.

Now I have to go play some more Spore Cubes, I’m already addicted to it. Enjoy!

Net Lingo

A few days ago I ran a website that would tell you what any acronym means. That was a great source for some of you.

The rest seemed to be looking for “Internet Lingo” rather than acronyms. Never fear because today’s cool site is nothing but internet lingo.

So before I have to GTHTGTTA, head on over to today’s cool site.

Web Archive

How long have you been on the internet? Probably not as long as Yahoo or even Microsoft has been. If you’d like to take a step back into the past, visit today’s cool site so you can see what a certain website looked like.. Say.. 5 years back.

For example, take a look at Microsoft.com back in 1996 compared to what it is today. It’s amazing how websites transform from something simple to complex sites.

Even better, pull up a search for worldstart.com and see what it looked like back in 1998. Neato.

If you can’t find a certain website, then you can always add it to their database.

Oh, and if you do have a lot of money to your name and you find out through this site, please make checks payable to Jonathon M. Reese...

Did It Happen To You??

Do you have an unusual fear of doctors? Do you have voices in your head? Have you lost time and have no idea how or why? If so, congrats my friends, you may very well been abducted by aliens!

This cool site gives you 58 common indicators of whether or not you have been abducted by aliens. Do you suppose Fox Mulder from X-Files had anything to do with this list? Of course not, because he’s just an actor. As far as I can tell, this website is extremely serious about them too.

Wacky Uses

Have you ever wanted to know what you could do with certain household supplies such as Baking Soda, Mr. Coffee Filters, or even a Slinky?

This website has a great compilation of household supplies and a list of wacky things you can do with those supplies.

Hmm, now I can take those Wilson Tennis Balls I have laying around and use them to fluff the down in my jacket next time I throw it in the washer. Who knew?

On This Day...

I thought this website was cool (worthless, but cool). You can enter your birth date and find out how old you are compared to famous people. It also will tell you about how old you were when certain world events were going on.

For example, I’m only 2 months younger than our Current Presidents daughters, and I was only about a year old when Apple introduced the Macintosh computer. Oops, I think my age is showing...

Make A Movie

Have you ever been to a website and seen a cool Macromedia Flash intro?
Those can be really hard to make. I know because I've tried making one :-)

I've found a website which will allow you to create your own little
"Flash" style movies. Although they only give you templates to work with,
it's still worth checking out and playing with.

You will need Flash Player 5.0 to use it. If you don't, Digitalfilms.com
provides you with a link so you can get it. Have Fun!

Digital Charity

Would you like to donate money to a good cause but just don't have the cash? Well, even if you do have the cash, you should still take a look at this one.

From the page below, you can go to dozens of different ad-sponsored charity sites.

How do they work?

Most have a "Click here to donate" type button. Just click the button and you're transported to a page with sponsors. Each time these sponsor ads are displayed, a donation is made to the charity.

So, go save some stuff! With all the readers on this newsletter, we could probably save the world! OK, maybe not, but it's worth a shot huh?
