The National Museum of American History has a vast collection of over three million objects, obviously they can't exhibit all of it at once. Wait! Maybe they can, or at least they can try to.

That is exactly what they're doing with this site where you can see the initial 450 items displayed on the web. The items include famous, unusual, and everyday items with well written descriptions.
