I have a quick solution. What you really need in your life (at least at that moment) is known as a page break. It tells the program that you're done with the current page and moves you to the next page, regardless of how little is on the page you just finished. In MS Word you need to go to the Insert menu, then choose Break This will bring up a small window where you simply make sure that Page break in the Insert section is selected and then click ok.
Instantly you will find yourself at the top of the next page - no extra enters required. To remove the break,
use the backspace (when you're cursor is after the break) or delete (when
you're cursor is before the break) keys and it will be removed from the
document just like any other mistake. Always remember that you are dealing with two directions in Excel and if the program is not sure which direction you mean it may put a break in both directions. To be specific with Excel, highlight and entire row or column and then put in the break, it will insert the break either to the left of the column or above the row you selected. To remove the break, select a cell just below or to the right of the break no longer needed. Go to the Insert menu again, and this time it should read Remove Page Break. Select this choice and it should disappear. (Please note that if the break was inserted by the computer then you can not just choose to remove it. You must do adjusting with margins and printing size to change computer generated page breaks and that's several other tips )
Custom
Toolbar Buttons So today I'd like to end our discussions of toolbar talk with how to truly customize your toolbars. Do you find yourself continually going to a certain menu and constantly using the same menu item again and again? Have you ever wished that they had just put a button on a toolbar that would make your life so much easier? If your answers are yes and yes, then this is a tip you really gotta try. It's possible to customize your toolbars by adding specific buttons, of your choice, and it's all just a few clicks away. To begin the process of customizing you need to go back to our old friend, the View menu. Then return to the Toolbars sub menu. At the very bottom of the list you should see Customize as a choice. (Another location you may find this same thing is under the Tools menu, Customize ) A new smaller window should pop up, entitled Customize. This window has three tabs across the top; you need to go to the Commands tab. On the Commands page you will see a left and a right pane. In the left pane is a list of menus along with a few extra topics. In the right pane will be a list of all available buttons for each topic. The list on the right changes as you select the different topics from the left.
Once you find a button that you would like to add to one of your existing toolbars, simply click and drag it to the desired toolbar. As you are dragging over a toolbar you'll notice a vertical black line moving just below the little box you're dragging. This line is the place the button will be located, so slide the mouse around until you find your desired location, then let go of the mouse button.
OOPS - let go of the button in the wrong place? Or did you decide after the fact that it's in the wrong location? No problem. Re-arranging the buttons, including those on the standard toolbars, can be done as long as you have the Customize window open. One last thing, to remove a button from a toolbar simply grab it and drag it off the toolbars completely (like into your document) while the Customize window is open. That's it. It's that easy. Happy Customizing!
