Hello everyone. Last week's discussions about changing some of the easiest default items triggered quite a few emails asking how to change other items that do not come with a default button. So I've been doing some research in MS Word and I have an answer. Check out today's tip of the day to see how it can be done. But first, here's something just for you: Buy Monopoly II & Monopoly Casino Bundle and get 4 additional games FREE!! What's the price? Only $29.95! Take my word - this is good for hours of fun! Steve (and a few other staff members who were lurking nearby) couldn't believe how excited I was about this game set after I took it home and "tested" it. I told them we HAVE to share this with our readers! Here's what you get: Monopoly II - This is the most current version of the game and it extremely addicting. You can even design your own boards (or select from different cities like New York, Chicago, Boston, etc). Play against the computer or another human. The 3D graphics and animation are spectacular, the play is fun, and if you like Monopoly, this is a must have. You can even change the rules if you like! I spent HOURS with this one! Monopoly Casino - This one is awesome! It includes roulette, craps, video poker, money wheel, pai gow poker, keno, blackjack, slot machines, and poker. Of course, the graphics, sounds, and animations are terrific. However, what was really cool was the slot machines. I've actually played those slot machines in real life! After I was done with this game, I was ready to jump on a plane and head out to Vegas! 4 FREE BONUSES! OK, the above is a great deal, but you'll also get these 4 games FREE with your purchase: Wheel of Fortune
2nd Edition Jeopardy! 2nd Edition
Ultimate Yahtzee
Parker Brothers
Card Games OK, again this is $29.95, and shipping is FREE if you live in the US! It carries our 30 day satisfaction guarantee - if you don't like it, we'll take it back. So, you have nothing to lose and hours of fun to gain. Head to the link below for more: http://www.worldstart.com/store/monopolybundle-MST.htm
Have you ever tried to copy something from one MS Excel worksheet to another only to find that when you're done pasting you've lost all your column and row formatting (such as column width and row heights)? How much time do you loose reformatting all those worksheets? You just know there has to be an easier way, and of course, there is :-) To copy an entire worksheet, columns widths and all, simply click on the blank rectangle to the left of the column letter headings and just above the row numbers.
This will select the entire worksheet. At this point complete your normal copy and paste. (In the worksheet you are pasting to, be sure to select cell A1 in order for the paste to work.) No more reformatting
- Yeah!
Changing the Normal Template This tip is for those who wish to alter the normal template in MS Word. In other words, saving changes to settings that do not come with a default button, such as tab or paragraph settings. (The normal template dictates initial settings for all blank documents.) To make these changes you will need to actually open the normal template (not just a blank document) and make changes to it. Step 1: Locate and open your normal template.
Step 2: Make changes to the template you just opened. Change anything at all, even if there is no default button to save the change (you'll do that in step 3). Keep in mind these changes will affect all blank documents you open so be sure they are things that will be helpful. For example, tabs by default are set at 0.5-inch intervals; you may prefer something different. Go to format, tabs and make the change you desire in the upper right-hand corner. Another example would be the settings for paragraphs, or line spacing, or whatever it is that you find yourself constantly changing when you begin a new document. You know, the things you wish would just stay changed. Step 3: Save the normal template by simply using File menu, save or the save button on your toolbar. Close the template. Congratulations! You're
done. New documents should be completely tailored to your needs.
