AnyTime Anyone?

You just gotta check out AnyTime Deluxe! It's an awesome piece of software we just got in the store a week or so ago (and it's already selling like crazy).

What does it do? It keeps track of your contacts, appointments, todo lists, and notes. It's one of the handiest little programs we've ever offered! I'm already using it constantly throughout the day! It's kind of like a computerized version of those "day runner" planner things (and yes, it can print out pages for those if you need it to).

Here's a quick breakdown of each section of the software:

Contacts / Addresses - Have people to keep track of? This program makes it easy. Input their name, address, company, position, e-mail, up to 6 different phone numbers, and notes. The coolest part? It can keep track of birthdays and anniversarys! Never forget another one!

Oh, you can also put your contacts into "groups". For example, you can have a group that you want to send christmas cards to, a group for business contacts, a group for personal contacts, a group for your fishing buddies, whatever you can think of! It's a great idea and very handy.

Calendar - This also has an awesome little calendar included. Not only can you have your appointments with it, you can also set recurring ones. For example, say you always watch Star Trek at 8:00 on Wednesday. Set it as a recurring appointment and never miss another episode!

In addition, it can also has "alarms" to remind you of upcoming appointments. You can even set the amount of pre-warning time. So, if you know it's going to take you a half an hour to get to your appointment, just have the alarm go off a half an hour before. Cool huh?

To Do List - Have a lot to get done? Use the built in To Do list! You can set the priority, due date, create notes, even set alarms for it! As you get things done, just cross them off your list. I use this part of the program a ton. It has really helped get me organized.

Notes - It also has the coolest little notebook built into it. You come up with a title for your notes, then just type. Your note titles are all listed in a column on the left. Just click the one you want to read and your note appears. Beats the heck out of a regular old note book. Much more organized.

I don't know about you, but I'm constantly writing down notes - and then losing them. Since I've started using this program, I can actually find what I'm looking for. It's great!

More Cool Stuff - To wrap this up, this program also has over 250 layouts, customize colors, import / export existing data, dial right from your computer, search for records, send e-mail, even use it over a network! Overall, the thing really does a good job and is very simple to use.

OK, now for the deal. The retail price for this is a good deal at $49.95. Your price? Only $14.97!! And shipping is 100% FREE if you live in the US! As always, we have our 30 day satisfaction guarantee - if you don't like it, we'll take it back! You have nothing to lose!

Unfortunately, we don't have a ton of these, so get to the site ASAP if you want in on this deal!! Personally, I think this is a must have program. I'm really enjoying mine!

Bonus - Buy any two titles from our online store and get a FREE keychain flashlight! Only while supplies last!

MS Office 101

Let's jump to Excel for a moment and back to the "number of worksheets in a workbook" topic.

What do you do if you need another worksheet in your workbook?

Quick and easy solution: Go to the Insert menu, Worksheet choice.

Done! Worksheet inserted to the left of whatever sheet you were currently working on.

Trying to insert several worksheets at once? Hold the shift key down and select the tabs of several worksheets (the number you're trying to insert). Then go to the Insert menu, Worksheet choice. (Just think how awesome it would be if we had an insert menu for some extra zeros in the old paycheck….)

What do you do if you want to remove some worksheets from the file?

Another quick and easy solution: Select the tab of the worksheet to be deleted then go to the Edit menu, Delete sheet choice. You will be asked to confirm your choice to finish the process since this can not be undone.

Want to delete several worksheets? Simply use the control key while clicking on the tabs of all the sheets you wish to delete. Then go to the Edit menu, Delete sheet choice and confirm your decision.

For the readers with limited storage capacity, the deletion of unused sheets in a workbook will make the file smaller.

That's it. Having exactly what you need when you need it isn't that difficult, at least in Excel. Too bad we can't have Edit and Insert menus on a few things around the house…

Office Tip of the Day

Rearranging PowerPoint Slides

Have you ever finished a PowerPoint presentation and realized that the slide order needs to be redone? What do you do to quickly rearrange? Do you need to re-do the entire presentation? Maybe re-install MS Office?

Don't worry, the rearrangement can be complete in just a few clicks. (whew)

When you realize that you need to tweak the order of your slides simply go to the Slide Sorter view. You can get there through the View menu, Slide Sorter choice or you can click the Slide Sorter button located in the bottom left corner of the screen.

Once you're into the Slide Sorter view you will see all your slides laid out in rows. The first slide is labeled as #1 in the upper left corner. The order of the slides is from left to right, top row to bottom row. Each slide is numbered.

You may have to scroll down to see all your slides if you have a large presentation.

Moving a slide can be accomplished by a click and hold on the slide to be moved. Then drag the slide to the place where you want it to be. You will see a vertical line between the slides showing you where it will go. Release the mouse button and the slide to be moved into its new place. Slides will automatically be renumbered.

To return to slide editing simply go to the View menu, Slide choice or use the Slide View button in the bottom left corner.

That's it! Slides are now in your new preferred order. But… you'll change your mind again, won't you?
