Note From
April: We have a must play, really fun, really addicting game called Moraff's 3D Jongg. And we have it at an incredible price - only $3.97 with FREE US shipping! This is 80% off the retail price of $19.97! See why it's such a great deal? Now, I know what you're thinking - this is just some cheap little game that isn't worth the jewel case it comes in. Well, if that's what you're thinking, you're VERY mistaken :-) This game is lots of fun to play plus has fantastic graphics. Take a look at this screen shot: You can actually see the detail of the tiles! Look - they even cast little shadows! The audio is great too - you can choose from over 120 different music selections. In addition, you can choose from over 50 backgrounds, 20 tile sets, change layouts, and more! If you've never played this type of game before, you're in for a treat. It's a strategy game where you match outside tiles until every tile is eliminated. Seems like it would be simple, but wait till you try it! You'll find out why this fun game is so addicting! So, whether your an old hand at mahjongg or going for your first game, this is one deal you don't want to pass up! Quick! Head to the link below: http://www.worldstart.com/store/3d-jongg.htm PS - Note that this was a one time deal and once these are gone, that's it! If I were you, I'd get to the site right now!
Here's an update for the tip from last Thursday's newsletter concerning the movement between several open files in the same program. Several readers who lean more towards the use of the keyboard (verses the mouse) e-mailed me with the key combination that can replace the tip on the Window menu. (A quick re-cap for those who missed that issue: the bottom half of the Window menu will list all open files for that program. By selecting a file name from the list, you can jump between open files eliminating the needless open/close routine so many people tend to use.) Well, another way to accomplish the same thing is to use the F6 key while holding down either the Alt key or the Ctrl key. (I received e-mails listing both keys and so I tried them both. I found that either the key works with the F6 key.) What this will do is toggle between all open files in the program. While holding down either the Alt or Ctrl key, you can continue to hit the F6 key until you rotate to the file you need. (Thanks for the info guys!)
Mouse-less Program Switching Tired of all the keyboard-mouse-keyboard-mouse work to switch between programs? Ever notice how much of a pain it can be when you're copy/pasting from one program to another? We've all had situations where the constant switching starts to drive us crazy. (However short that trip may be for some of us, nobody wants to go there.) So here's one possible solution to the problem - a detour if you will on the road to computer driven insanity. Next time you find yourself constantly switching between different programs give this trick a little try. Hold down the Alt key and press Tab. A little window will pop open in the center of your screen. In it there is a row of icons for the programs you currently have open. One of the icons should be boxed in. When you release the keys that will be the program you'll be taken to. To move the box from program to program, simply hit the Tab key while still holding down the Alt key. This will toggle through all open programs. Just hit the Tab key enough times to get to the program you wish to go to and then release all keys. Poof! Now you're in the other program - no mouse needed! (If only we could get these keys for travel - hit Alt + Tab and poof - you're in Hawaii I can dream, can't I?) Thanks to the readers who emailed suggesting this tip. Your input was appreciated as always! |
