What An AWESOME Deal! We have a fantastic title in stock! It's American Greetings CreataCard Platinum 6 and it's one of the best card-making software packages on the market. In fact, it's the most powerful I've ever played with to date - they just keep improving these things! This software lets you create American Greetings cards right from your computer. You can create the cards from scratch or use one of the 6300 card templates (which you can customize). Oh ,and it also includes 15,000+ art images, 9400+ projects, 8200 greeting card sentiments, an address book, a reminder utility that pops up when a special date draws close (never forget another birthday!), and tons more. As for card types, every occasion is covered - birthdays, weddings, Halloween, baby showers, Christmas, Mother's day, thank you, anniversaries, Valentines day, Easter, Father's day, and LOTS (lots) MORE! Heck it even does e-mail cards! In addition, it can do labels, note cards, calendars, iron-ons, gift tags, and lots of other cool projects. It even has a built-in spell checker! One of the coolest parts is the "craft cards" section. From here, you can create your own pop up cards, frame cards, slider cards, cut out cards, and more! These would be great for kids! They would LOVE this! Another smart idea was the photo editor they included with this program. It allows you to import you photos and get rid of red-eye, crop, colorize, emboss, do special effects, add one photo to another, adjust color, fix flaws, even sharpen focus! Then just add the photo to your project for a truly personalized card! And don't worry, this is so easy to use even an adult can handle it :-) Really, this has got to be one of the easiest to use programs I've ever played with. The layout is simple, creating cards is a snap, and everything is just done right. In fact, it not only gets the job done, but makes it fun to do it! How many programs can you say that about? Think about how much fun this is going to be with all the upcoming holidays and events - Halloween, Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, and so on! With this software, you'll be able to say exactly what you want, using your own words or theirs. Either way, the cards will mean so much more to the people receiving them, since you put your time into them. The price on this? It's only $24.97 and US Shipping is FREE! Since retail on this is $49.95, it's a terrific deal. Get to the link below ASAP! http://www.worldstart.com/store/amergreet-creatacard-pl6.htm PS - Note that we featured this in our other newsletters yesterday and it went like crazy! Be sure to get to the site before we sell out!
I got this one from several different readers regarding the split window trick discussed last week. I mentioned "clicking" into a pane when working in the Split mode in MS Word or Excel. I received a lot of e-mail to let me know that you can hit the F6 key to jump between the panes as well. Thanks guy for keeping me on my toes - or in this case my fingers on the keyboard.
MS Office With Your Own Special Touch Here's one for everyone who likes to be creative with our computer layouts. Some of us really spend time picking just the right background, screen saver, color scheme or whatever. After all, many of us work on our computers all day everyday; we just like everything to have our own unique flair. For those of you who are really into "giving it your style," you may find it interesting to know that you can edit the pictures on many of the buttons you use in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. So - how do you get to this creative little wonder? I mean - re-coloring MS Word buttons - this must take at least a few dozen steps - right? Nope - not at all. In fact, it's as easy as: 1. Open the Customize window. by either going to the Tools menu, Customize choice or right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize from the bottom of the list. 2. Even though you just opened up a Customize window, you now need to Right-click on the actual toolbar button that you would like to edit. Choose Edit Button Image from the pop-up menu. 3. Edit the button image & Click OK when you're finished. (OK, so maybe there should be some explanation for #3. We'll get to that right now, but let's be honest, that wasn't so complicated, now was it?) So, when you chose Edit Button Image according to Step #2, the Button Editor window should have opened.
On the left is the picture of the button and on the right is your color palette. To change the image you can simply click on a color in the palette and then click on a block in the picture. You should see the color change immediately both in the editing part and in the button preview located on the bottom right side of the window. As you can see below, I have begun to change the B on the Bold button from black to pink.
You can continue to makes changes as you desire without fear of destroying the original button (you can get it back to the original color in no time). If you wish to start the picture from a blank slate, click on the Clear button. This removes everything allowing you to build your picture from the ground up. Or, you could choose
to carefully change out a specific color to suite your own style. Basically,
whatever your heart desires. When you're happy with your work, click OK. If you decided that you want to start over, click Cancel and all of your changes will be ignored. Now if a month goes by and you want to revert back to the original colors, simply open the Customize window again (as in #1 above) and then right-click on the button. In the pop-up menu you're looking for the Reset Button Image choice.
Poof! Original picture restored! I know this isn't the most useful little tidbit for making us all leaner, meaner, more efficient MS Office Suite users, but sometimes we just need to have a little fun. ~ April |
