National Geographic - One Last Chance! Then It's Gone Forever... Last month or so we ran a special on The Complete National Geographic (a 32 CD ROM set that includes every page from every National Geographic magazine from the original in 1888 thru 2000). As we told you then, they are no longer publishing these due to a law suite filed by the photographers (they were not getting royalties on the images). Since that special, we've been inundated with phone calls and e-mails asking if we found more or had any leftovers. Well, we put the word out to all our suppliers, requesting (OK, begging) that if they came across a surplus of this title to please contact us. Yesterday, we were fortunate to be able to get a handful of these. So, if you missed out the first time, here's an unexpected second chance! As we said before, the publisher isn't optimistic about these ever getting published again. If they do, it could be years before it happens and who knows what photos may be missing? This just became an instant collectors item and just about everyone here has grabbed one. If you want in on this, get to the site now! Here's a description: The Complete National Geographic features over 1,200 issues and let me tell ya - I had a terrific time going through all the old articles, pictures, and ads. Each issue is presented exactly as it was when it was originally published - every page, every picture. I spent over an hour just browsing through dozens of old issues. I especially like to look at old advertisements, you know, checking out what the "cutting edge" stuff was way back when. With all the changes taking place in the world today, it's a lot of fun to how things were in the past. It's amazing to look back and see how some of the "revolutionary" stuff got started - and how some of it never did. This collection is like having a personal time machine that can show you the world the way it once was. Here's some more info on the program: - 185,000 Spectacular photographs and illustrations. Our cost on this new batch is higher than what we paid before. However, we're going to keep your price at the same $64.97 with FREE US SHIPPING (list $149.95)! Everyone else is starting to raise prices on these, but we're going to stay the same - for now. Here's the info and order link: http://www.worldstart.com/store/national-112.htm Needless to say, there is a very limited quantity of these available, so head to the site ASAP if you want yours! Remember, they aren't making these anymore, so once the existing stock is depleted, that's it - they're gone. Don't miss out!
Did you know... ... that when you're working in MS PowerPoint's Slide Sorter you can double click on any slide to be taken back to the Slide or Normal View (depends on the version of PowerPoint) to edit your slide. No more looking for the correct button in the bottom left of the window, no more View menu, no more searching for the right place. Double click - that'll do the trick!
Agenda Slides In MS PowerPoint Have you ever found yourself creating an agenda slide for a presentation you've just completed? You knowa slide at or near the beginning that lets the audience know what you plan to cover. What did you do? Did you simply put together a new slide containing the titles used on the other slides? Yes? Yeah, me too. Want to save a lot of time? What would you think if you could get MS PowerPoint to make the slide for you? (I know that I'd be doing a happy dance.) Well, guess what. PowerPoint can do all the busy work, allowing you to simply put in the "fine touches". (Dust off your dancing shoesit's time for the "happy dance".) Here's the scoop. After you've created your presentation, and you're ready for a summary / agenda slide, go to the slide sorter. Now that you're there, select the slides that you want included in your summary.
Now that you have your slides chosen it's time to let PowerPoint to work for you. You're looking for the Summary Slide button on the Slide Sorter Toolbar.
Click it. Instantly, PowerPoint will create a new slide that lists all the titles from the selected slides. The summary slide has been placed just before the first selected slide. (This slide was created from 6 different slides with titles listed in the bulleted list.)
You'll need to edit it a bityou might want to change the "Summary Slide" title to something snappier, but for the most part, the time-consuming part is done. Once you've added your finishing touches, you're ready to go. Happy Dance time! ~ April
