It probably won’t come as a surprise to any of you that I love animals, and because of it care about the endangered species on our planet. So what am I bringing you today? Well, it’s a multimedia guide to the endangered species of the planet.
That’s the one thing I can say for technology, it has certainly provided a platform to spread information and quickly and draw people’s attention to issues like endangered wildlife on a much larger scale.
I suggest starting your visit with the endangered species that are being featured on the main page. When I visited it was Spix’s Macaw and the Chatham Island Black Robin.
But if you just want to dive into your exploration click the Explore box at the top of the page, a drop down list will appear, and from it you can select from the different species what you want to view. So if you only want to check out Mammals, click mammals. Your options are: All Species, Mammals, Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish, Invertebrates (separate categories for terrestrial and marine), Plants and Algae, and Fungi (including lichen). That’s a lot to explore, right?
Even if you don’t want to personally spread awareness of endangered species, just exploring their sections and learn about them raises your consciousness about them and I feel that spreading knowledge benefits the world too! I just can’t imagine a world without animals and plants, can you? Check this one out today!
