How do you get off Facebook. I only wanted to visit my friend’s pages and wound up on it myself.
Gypsy, you’ll need to close your account. If you want to view Facebook pages, you will need to be a member of Facebook. You set up an account when you wanted to view your friends’ pages and now you’ll have to delete it. But first, I’m going to show you a step that everyone with a Facebook should consider even if they don’t want to delete the account.
Did you know you can back up all of your Facebook data? If you didn’t post anything, Gypsy, you may want to skip this part. But anyone else deleting an account or if you just want a back up should first, go to your Facebook page and click the drop-down arrow in the upper right. Choose Settings.
Under General Account Settings, choose Download a copy of your Facebook data.
You can then download copies of posts, videos and chat conversations to your PC. If you want to close your FB account, you retain that data and also should your account ever be compromised, you have it all.
Once that data is backed up, you can then delete your Facebook account by following this link https://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account.
Once you delete your account, you will no longer be able to view your friends’ posts. You can keep a FB profile just for looking around on the service, there’s no rule that you have to interact or play games if you don’t feel like it.
