Welcome to Bucket! This site allows you to collect ideas from around the web and store them in one place as you plan for your next trip (or in my case daydream about it).
When you arrive at the site, scrolling down the page will allow you to access information about how the site works, discover trip ideas, and learn about Bucket’s story.
If this looks like a tool you could use to plan your next trip, you’ll want to click the Sign Up button at the top right of the page. It will have you login with your Facebook information by default, but if you click the Why Facebook link, you can get an alternate link to sign up with your e-mail address. I went ahead and used my Facebook login like always, and then I approved Bucket, after that it takes you back to Bucket where you’ll set up your profile.
It starts by asking you where your next adventure will take place at; I chose to use the default of San Francisco since I was trying the site out. Then I clicked the Next: Add Places to Your Trip button at the bottom of the page which takes you to a page where you can scan for places with the link they provide you. Then you’ll walk through tht rest of the tutorial about adding places to your bucket.
Note: when you add future buckets, you’ll need to provide the link to scan for places with. A great way to do this is to Google something like “things to do in [your location]” and then give it one of those links to scan.
If you get lost at any time, you can check out the site’s FAQ which has lots of answers to great questions.
This is a really cool way to tackle planning places to visit on your next trip. Go check it out today!
