JoAnne has an issue with touchscreens. She writes: “Is there a stylus that I can use instead of my finger? I have a circulation problem and I have to keep changing fingers. My tablet brings on tingling in my hand and fingers.”
JoAnne, you should be able to use just about any stylus you like. Styluses range from models that just work as styluses to those that are combo pen/light/styluses.
I’d suggest you take advantage of some of the accessibility features of your device to alleviate stress on your fingers. Use voice controls instead of typing for searching online and composing messages.
Remember that you don’t need to keep your hand locked in position with your finger hovering over the screen all the time. Rest your hand when you aren’t actively using it to navigate. Also, a touch screen is pretty sensitive, so you don’t need to apply a whole lot of pressure to use it. Go with a light touch to make sure you aren’t giving your fingers more of a workout that necessary.
