Charity Miles

I am so excited to bring this site to you. It’s for a free application available for both Android and iOS that tracks the amount of miles you’ve walked, run, or biked and turns them into a donation to the charity you’re walking, running, or biking for.

When you get to the site, I highly recommend that you watch the video. Just press the play button on the website and the video will load and play. It is just under a minute and a half, and shows how the application works.

So where’s the money coming from? Well Charity Miles has an initial sponsorship pool of $1,000,000. And from that bikers earn 10¢ a mile and walkers and runners earn 25¢ a mile.

The other aspect I really like about this is that they want you to share your progress over social media. I like it for two reasons you can thank your sponsor and get cheered on by your friends and family, but also that it raises awareness for Charity Miles. Then more people join and when they bike, run, or walk more of that sponsorship money gets sent out to charities that need it.

I know a lot of my friends have turned to running in order to get fit, I think that Charity Miles is a great addition to that goal. All you have to do is download the app and share your progress. So you get fitter and charities get money.

Check it out for yourself today!
