If you download a lot of apps to your Android smartphone, you can quickly find yourself running out of room. But, if you have the option to use a microSD card in your device to expand storage, you can make a little more room by moving some of your apps to your microSD card.
Remember, this only works with Android devices. iPhones don’t offer the option to expand storage. First, you’ll want to go to the app manager for your device. Choose Settings.
Then look for App Manager. Since all Android devices are just a little different, you’ll have to look around on your device to find it.
You can start going through your apps to see if they can be moved.
Not every app will offer the option. To check, tap an app to look at your options. The ones that can be transferred will show the Move to SD card option. Tap it and the app will be moved to your SD card. (Assuming you have enough space on the card)
There’s a potential for apps on the SD card to run a little slower, but I’ve actually never experienced it.
