Recently I brought you a link to donate books to needy schools to help de-clutter your home. Now I want to help you de-clutter your closet. Recently my roommate finally stopped procrastinating about cleaning out her closet – she had enough clothes for three people, and then we donated them.
I got to think that there must be some organization out there looking for clothing donations and then a reader submitted this site to me. Talk about providence. This site is run by VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America) who not only collect clothing donations but other items as well. Check out the donations page to see what all they accept.
If you click Service Areas, it will bring up a map of the United States; click your State to see if they have a pickup service near you. If they do, more than likely you can schedule your donation pick up online. How handy is that?!
This site provides an awesome way to give back to the community, and at the same time clean out your house of items you’re not using anymore!
