I can think of a lot of reasons why I would personally use this site. It would be awesome for web design; you could pick your focal picture extract colors from it to use to design the backgrounds and buttons for the rest of the site. It would be awesome to help design a room in your house based of an image you’ve seen. It would even be useful to create art, because you could find a photo of something and extract the colors out of it to use in the piece you were creating.
How does it work? Browse your computer for the photo you want to extract a palette out of, and then click Create. It will then generate a palette of colors from the photo for you to use. If you have Photoshop you can download these as swatches into the program. If you don’t have it, you can print out your palette or you can copy CSS in the text box below to use for a web page.
Pretty cool, huh? Check it out!
