Control Windows 7 Notifications

You know those little notification boxes that pop-up in the lower right-hand corner of your Windows 7 desktop? They tell you all sorts of stuff like if someone has just sent you an e-mail or that Windows is downloading some updates, but what if you just plain don’t care?
What if you want ‘em to all go away?
Just right-click on your taskbar and select Properties. Under the taskbar tab you’ll see a field that says “Notification area”. Click on the “Customize…” button.
You’ll seesomething like this:

This windows will allow you to change when and if you’ll see notifications for programs that reside in your taskbar. You can hide them, show them, or just make it so only notifications pop-up. Customize until you’re satisfied and click OK. You’re all set!
