My wife, bless her heart, is always downloading new apps for our iPad to try out. However, one app in particular likes to play a sound every time there a “reminder” for something – even when the tablet’s just sitting on my desk.
It scares the pants off me, so here’s how to put some control on the situation:
Tap Settings>Notifications. In the resulting screen you’ll see which apps are currently in the Notification Center. These are apps that have permission to make beeps and the like, so tap on whichever one you’d like to silence.
Once in the app’s notification settings, you can flip all kinds of switches. Everything from whether or not the app can show notifications to how the alerts are displayed are at your disposal.
Make your changes, and prepare to enjoy notifications as you like them!
