I’m having some yarn custom-dyed for a knitting design project I have in mind, but I needed a way to create a palette. I searched and looked a lot of different palette generators and found a few that I liked.
Coolors is the first of the palette generators I’m going to share with you. It quickly lets you make the perfect palette and save it for your project.
To get started click the Start Using Coolors button at the bottom right of the page. It will walk you through a quick tutorial of how to use the generator.
Use your spacebar to load new colors. Click the lock to lock in a specific color. And then once you’ve got the palette you desire you can use the save button (down arrow) at the bottom right of the page to save your palette.
To save your work you’ll need to register for an account. Create a username and password, then provide your email address. After you click the confirmation link in your e-mail you’ll be good to go.
When you save your palette you will create a name for it, and you can create tags. Click the button with the three lines to see your saved palettes.
I hope you’ll enjoy checking out this handy palette generator!
