This site is fun, interesting, and great to share with anyone who loves dinosaurs! This is a companion site to the NOVA program of the same name, but is filled with a lot of great dinosaur information! I think this is also a great site to share with kids!
When you get to the site you can start browsing by checking out the link under the image – that’s where I started!
The categories are:
The Dinosaurs Weren’t Alone – this section discusses the flora and fauna that existed when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. Just scroll down to read it all. Be sure to check out the links to more information on the left side of the page.
Where to Dig – I’ve always wondered how scientists figure out where to dig for dinosaur bones. Now you can learn all about it. Check out this section by selecting a type of rock (igneous, sedimentary, or metamorphic) to start learning more about where and how fossils are found.
There is even a handy Teacher’s Guide that teachers can use to make the most of this site as supplemental teaching material.
Get ready to learn more about the Tyrannosaurus Rex by visiting Curse of the T.Rex today!
