Internet Explorer 8 users: Have you been staring at the same old boring toolbar configuration day in and day out since you downloaded Microsoft’s latest browser? Do you ever long for customization and flexibility that will best suit your clicking habits? Well, gather round, folks, and let me show you how to make that happen!
Right-click a blank area in your IE 8 toolbar and un-check “Lock the Toolbar”. You will see little perforations that will appear next to each segment.

If you grab those perforations, you can drag the elements of your toolbar into a more fitting configuration. Experiments a bit, and if you find a layout you like, just right-click a blank area again and re-check “Lock the Toolbar”. Your toolbar layout is set now, so life can resume normally!
