Customize the Shape of Your AutoShapes
Are you a frequent user of the drawing tools?
Do you find that you’re constantly inserting AutoShapes and then resizing them to suit your needs?
Yeah, me too.
But, did you ever wonder if you could get a slightly different effect from the AutoShapes?
You know, not just a different size, but a shape similar to what you have, but not exactly the same one?
Well, the good news is that it just may be possible!
It all depends on the shape you picked. Some of them can be altered and others can not.
Here’s how you can tell the difference.
Take a look at these two shapes.
See how one has the little yellow diamond and the other doesn’t?
Yep, you’re right.
It’s that little yellow diamond that allows you to reshape your AutoShapes.
Click, hold and drag the diamond.
You should see a dashed outline of what the new AutoShape will look like once you release the mouse button as you drag it around.
Find what you’re looking for and release the mouse button.
Using this technique is easier, because the changes can be made quickly. Look below for an example.
This really increases the usefulness of the AutoShapes and allows you to create things that are uniquely yours!
