We’ve talked about setting Default applications for our PC, but I don’t think we’ve covered it yet for your Android phone. A reader asks: “My Samsung Galaxy S4 phone used to allow photos to be opened with the program of your choice and I chose Adobe. Now for some reason, I can’t find the Open With section. Some new updates were installed a few days back. Could they have done something to prevent this selection? Can’t work with the way they are opened now.”
It sounds like your default program for opening photos was accidentally changed. Here’s how to fix that. Go to Settings and choose Application Manager. Then scroll down to the app that’s currently opening your photos. Tap on the app, then scroll down to “Launch by default” and tap CLEAR DEFAULTS.
The next time you open an image, you’ll be able to choose which program to use. Make sure to tap Always to set your preferred app as the default.
