Do you ever forget to get things done, forget birthdays, or just forget to do the most basic things? Let’s face it, we are all very busy and have a ton of things going on at any given time. So if you are looking for something to help you stay organized, I have something FREE that can help you with that.

Desktop iCalendar Lite is the best way to keep yourself organized. This program displays a calendar right on your desktop to help you keep track of things. It has an event calendar and a to-do list for the day highlighted in the above calendar. You can set events and to-do items way in advance. So guess what? No more forgetting that special person’s birthday! When you launch the program, it will list everything you have already input into the calendar.

Using Desktop iCalendar Lite

Let’s start by adding a family event for the holidays. The first thing you want to do is find the date on the calendar and double click on it. This will bring up a window as shown in the picture below.

In this window you have the option of naming the event, changing the times, and summarizing what you need to do. You also have the option of putting it into a specific category and setting the alarm to go off anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 week in advance, so you do not forget. The alarm will pop on your screen and give you a rundown of what the Event or Task is that you need to remember.

Another really cool feature of this program is the ToDo List. This feature works a lot like the calendar. The only difference is the way in which you access it. All you need to do is simply click on the small + symbol located in the top right hand corner of the ToDo box.

From here you will get another pop up window asking you for the details of your new task.

Added Features and Extras

This program also gives you the option of changing the way that your calendar, events, and ToDo lists appear on your screen. This means no matter what wallpaper you decide to use, the iCalendar will always be visible. You can also place all of the different boxes wherever you would like on your desktop. This makes it a much more appealing program to me personally.

So if you are looking for a simple way to keep track of daily tasks, I would highly recommend the Desktop iCalendar Lite program. So what are you waiting for? Desktop iCalendar Lite can be found here.
