Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always been a fan of home improvement projects and I always watched Bob Vila on This Old House. Now that I’m older and living in a handy man’s dream house, I’ve come to understand how important it is to be able to do things yourself.
On this Web site, not only can you find great Do It Yourself tips, but you can also find qualified local contractors with the search tool, ask your questions in the forums and much more!
You’ll find navigation on the left side of the page. From there, you can select a “do it yourself” category. If you scroll down the main page, you’ll find a listing of the Latest How-To Articles, as well as, a listing of the Latest Forum Questions. Also, just beneath that, you’ll find the Question of the Day.
Forums – Just click on the Forums tab to be directed to the Do It Yourself forums. You’ll see a pop up menu that lets you select a category or you can just double click on the tab and browse through them in the forum index. You’ll need to register before you can post anything.
Near the top of the page, in light blue, you’ll find the search engine. Just type in what you’re searching for and click on the Search button. Below that, you’ll find a listing of articles they chose for you.
You can also subscribe to their mailing list by typing in your e-mail address and clicking on the Subscribe button.
Below that area, you’ll find the DIY Centers with six different categories. My favorite is the Interactive DIY Workshop, where you’ll find animated tutorials and guides.
I hope this Web site will help you get a Do It Yourself project done. I know it has really helped me!
