Linux Ubuntu- Does it include a new firewall to replace Microsoft’s firewall? I assume Microsoft won’t support it any more, Right? Didn’t see any info on this but may have missed it. Should we worry about it or make a change?
Joyce, to be clear, Microsoft won’t support anything in Ubuntu or any other Linux system. These are completely different operating systems. Ubuntu does have its own built-in firewall. Ubuntu is considered to be one of the most secure operating systems out there. I fact, the UK recently ranked it at the top of operating system safety. I’m also assuming, you’re talking about Microsoft supporting XP. While security support for XP is ending on April 8, 2014, Microsoft will continue to support later systems.
