This year is bringing with it a variety of upcoming changes. One of the big ones is the possibility of moving. All my PhD applications are in and only one school doesn’t require a change of location, and even if I do get into the one I could commute to, my roommate and I plan on moving somewhere else in town. When I have to face big changes like this one, I like to be prepared. It makes it less daunting and scary. So I’ve been looking for sites that help explain the process and make browsing homes easy. In that research I found Doorsteps.
Doorsteps is a site that helps people find places to live. It demystifies the process and prepares you for each step you’ll encounter.
I suggest starting your journey by watching the video on the main page. It runs just under two and half minutes long and explains how the site works and what you can use it for.
You can also scroll down the main page and click the arrows to expand the different sections there which offer further explanations of how everything works.
What I really like about Doorsteps compared to other sites I’ve looked at is that they really offer you the tools to be a successful home buyer. They layout budget concerns, help you discover the right questions to ask, assess what you’re really looking for, and then help you make connections to the right agent who can make this all happen.
I hope you’ll check out Doorsteps today if you’re thinking about buying a home!
