When I click on links in my email (Outlook Express), I can’t get Internet Explorer to open the page. The links are underlined and blue, so why won’t they work?
If you click a link and it either doesn’t come up, or you get an empty browser window with no connection, there are two common possibilities.
If you have a pop-up stopper, this can interfere with a browser window coming up, especially if you already have one open.
Now, in your browser, you should make sure that you have IE set as your default browser.
To do this, start Internet Explorer then go to View / Internet Options and select the ” Programs ” tab.
Make sure the message “Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser” is selected. If not, then check it.
Press OK and close Internet Explorer. Now the link in your email should bring up a website.
