While this site is based in the UK, I think that the point it is making about water consumption and conservation is valid on a more universal level.
When you arrive at this interactive site, you’ll notice that as you scroll down the top portion of the screen changes from day to night and then you’ll receive a message about how much water is used daily both for consumption and industry. Keep scrolling to learn more about water consumption; for example – taking a bath vs. taking a shower, the production of clothing, and even our dining habits.
If you want to scroll faster through the screens click the arrow in the bottom right corner. Once you’ve made it to the end, you can watch a minute and a half video on water conservation.
I think that this site offers a great look at simple things that you can do to save water like turning the tap off when you brush your teeth or wash dishes, and even being a little more conscious of the water practices of the company’s whose clothing you buy.
