What is extreme ironing?
It’s an outdoor activity that combines the danger and excitement of an “extreme” sport with the satisfaction of a well pressed shirt. It involves taking an iron and board (if possible) to remote locations and ironing a few items of laundry. This can involve ironing on a mountainside, preferably on a difficult climb, or taking an iron skiing, snowboarding or canoeing.
Why am I bringing you this site? For the pictures—definitely the pictures. If you have more questions about the sport check out the “Info/FAQ” section and I’m sure they’ll be answered. If not you want, click the “Ask a Question” link at the top of the page and get an answer.
Now onto the Gallery. This gallery is a fun-filled, action packed photo album with witty captions. Surf through the gallery of Extreme Ironing but be aware that you may giggle like a little kid at some of the places people managed to do their ironing. Now these are broken up into individual galleries so you’re going to have your hands full from the World Championships of Extreme Ironing to the Rowenta Trophy for Extreme Ironing you’ll be here a while.
You’ll be hard pressed to find a site that offers this much fun.
